Take the time to work on yourself – develop your talents, increase your self-esteem, improve the lives of others and take at least a few moments of gratitude every single day.

Good job.  It worked.  I was trying to think of a creative title for this post and that’s what I came up with.  How else can you grab the attention of an online audience flooded with tens of thousands of messages a day?

If you have a catchy non-cheesy attention grabbing headline idea for some content you think is MUST read, please leave it in the comment section below.

So I came across this post on Tony Robbin’s Facebook Page today and it hit me with such a magnitude of impact that I deemed it worth to dedicate an entire blog to it.   With no further ado…

UPW Tip of the Day:

All people who succeed, consciously or unconsciously, utilize the same formula for success. They use four simple steps to achieve whatever they desire.

1. You must decide what you want—and you must be precise! Remember, clarity is power.
2. You’ve got to take massive action, because desire by itself is not enough.
3. You’ve got to notice what’s working and what’s not working. You don’t want to expend energy on an approach that’s worthless just because it’s “part of your plan.”
4. When you notice it’s not working, you’ve got to change your approach until you achieve what you want. Flexibility gives you the power to create a brand new approach—and a brand new result for your life. This can be done in a moment: the moment you’re willing to be flexible.

That’s it!

I printed out a copy of the four items posted it on my wall and even distributed a few copies to people I care about.  What you do with this is entirely up to you but if you found value in it, odds are someone else will too so pay it forward and share it.

Until next time…

Everyone’s got a plan…right?

March 31, 2013

Everyone’s got a plan…right? “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” – Jim Rohn Do you know the story of Sally Jessy Raphael? You may recognize her by her trademark bright red classes.  Then again, maybe [...]

To-Do Lists

March 10, 2013

Question:   How do we set REALISTIC to-do lists every day and not feel like we must unrealistically accomplish 8,000 things a day? This is a question I recently received from Kathleen Larsen @markaval via Twitter.  As a reminder, if you’re on Twitter I will answer questions and respond to tweets if you tweet me [...]

Be Yourself

October 30, 2012

So after a month long hiatus, I’m finally getting around to blogging again. Tuesday was my set day for the first two years of this blog and it seems to ebb and flow since then as I’ve experimented with other projects, though I’m striving to produce more regular blog content between now and the end [...]

Failed

Maannn, I can’t believe that!  How did that happen? Why is this happening to me? I hate it when things don’t go my way!  #$!#!%% Ugh! If only….Bob did this and Sam did that and Susie wasn’t so unfair.  Then I’d be successful.  Ugh! Things never go my way, maybe I should just give up. [...]

Do You Ever Think About What You’re Thinking about?

August 20, 2012

Do you ever think about what you’re thinking about?   Sounds like a play on words, I know.  It’s not meant to be. If it didn’t click or you glossed over it the first time, take it a little slower this time and let the words and meaning really sink in. Do you ever think [...]

A Brief Thank You to Chris Guillebeau

August 3, 2012

From time to time, the cart gets off the track.  It’s an inevitable part of life for all of us. Remember that it’s far easier to stand back and criticize someone else than it is to put your own beliefs forward. You, me, Michael Phelps, it happens to us all.  Living and working as an [...]
